Course: ATHS 623. Medical Conditions Affecting Quality of Life (3)
Prerequisite: ATHS 501. This course will help the learner understand the various body systems and the impact that pathology has on an individual’s functioning within one’s chosen environment, in preparation for the design and application of assistive technologies to improve functional independence and quality of life. Essential to working with clients with a variety of medical conditions is an understanding of the etiology, course, prognosis, and vocational ramifications of specific medical conditions.
