A holder of a Special Education Credential may add an authorization to add expertise in areas of Special Education that were not part of their original credential authorization. Added Authorizations include: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Disturbance (ED) and Resource Specialist (RS).

Bilingual Authorization

Bilingual Authorization in Spanish, Korean, or Armenian may be obtained concurrently with the preliminary teaching credential or after students obtain their preliminary teaching credential. Students in any credential program other than the Traditional Program must be approved for the concurrent program by their program coordinator (ACT, Intern, FYI/JYI, ITEP, or Dual).
