Course: HSCI 170. Emergency Health Procedures (2)
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as a non-traditional first responder in a variety of settings. Topics include: basic life support, medical documentation, medical terminology, occupational safety and security for health professionals, professional ethics for health professionals, and universal safety precautions and infections control. Additionally, the American Red Cross “Responding to Emergencies” certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course requirements (includes both First Aid and CPR/AED).
