The CSUN Athletics Department consists of a broad program of competitive sports for both male and female student-athletes, providing them with the opportunity to obtain a college degree while also representing CSUN Athletics both regionally and nationally.
CSUN Athletics operates within the regulations set forth by the NCAA, Big West Conference, and MPSF. Students designated as intercollegiate student-athletes must be enrolled full time and are subject to mandates for degree progress established by the NCAA.
CSUN offers 19 NCAA Division I sports: baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s beach volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s volleyball, and women’s water polo. Approximately 350 student-athletes directly participate on these teams.
