Certificate Programs
University Certificates and Professional Specialization Certificates are postbaccalaureate academic-credit programs developed to provide an integrated and focused program of study in selected academic disciplines. Designed for students to add an area of professional expertise to their degrees, these certificates are added and updated to offer highly valued areas of study in the contemporary marketplace. The programs also allow students with advanced degrees to add areas of study to their academic records, thus allowing them to enrich or shift careers, or advance in their current professions.
Students who successfully complete a University Certificate or a Professional Specialization Certificate will have the award of the Certificate noted on their transcripts, and they are issued a formal Certificate approved by the Office of Graduate Studies and signed by the University president.
