Students who have graduated with a verified Associate Degree for Transfer and been admitted to a CSUN program that has been deemed similar, will be able to complete the Baccalaureate Degree within 60 semester units.
Lower division General Education is completed as part of the AA-T or AS-T; however some students may still need a Title 5 and/or section F Comparative Cultural Studies course. To meet the 120 units required to graduate, 60 units must be completed prior to transfer. This information can be verified by reviewing your Degree Progress Report (DPR) audit.
Students who change their major (or option) or add a second major or a minor not required as part of the major, are no longer eligible for guaranteed completion of the degree in 60 semester units. To maintain the guarantee, continuous enrollment in the same academic major is required unless the student is on an approved leave of absence.
Students must pass courses attempted with appropriate grades for these courses to count toward the guarantee of 60 semester units at CSUN. Repeated courses do not qualify as progress units.
Some academic programs may set specific academic progress requirements to maintain enrollment in the program. Students should follow the Star Act Degree Planning Guide provided to be eligible to finish the degree in 60 units. Advisement in the major is highly recommended. Some majors require advisement each semester prior to registration. The Star Act Degree Planning Guide is not intended to replace advisement and should be used in conjunction with the Degree Progress Report (DPR) and/or My Academic Planner (MAP) and/or My Plan to Graduate (MPG). Remaining CSUN requirements will vary depending upon transfer coursework students have completed.
After enrollment at a CSU campus begins, the guarantee is not transferable to another CSU campus.
