CHS 360. Political Organizations and Social Movements of the Barrio (3)

Prerequisite: Completion of the lower division writing requirement. Study of the origin and development of Chicana/o organizations, such as the Mexican American Political Association (MAPA), League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and La Raza Unida Party (LRUP), and their emergence of social movements emphasizing their role in the electoral process and in the development of the Chicana/o Community.
