Prerequisite: Senior standing and URBS 340A, URBS 340B, URBS 206 or other equivalent research methods courses; or instructor consent. A semester long urban planning field research project is conducted in collaboration with a community partner and the outcome is delivered to community stakeholders. This course addresses equity, diversity, social justice, and inclusion by using general planning knowledge and skills and tools for planning practice. Quantitative, qualitative, and/or geo-spatial analytical techniques are used. The ethics of professional urban planning and research are practiced. Class meets 8 hours per week. Available for graduate credit.
