Prerequisite: RE 414This course explores the effective management of income-producing real estate assets, covering crucial functions such as marketing, leasing, operations, and asset management. The course delves into three levels of real estate management: property management, asset management, and portfolio management. Students gain insights into property managers’ responsibilities in handling individual properties, learn how asset managers optimize asset performance, and discover portfolio managers’ strategic oversight of the overall real estate portfolio. Students develop essential problem-solving and decision-making skills through practical case studies and real-world scenarios, equipping them for successful careers in the dynamic real estate industry. This course also partially fulfills the California State Salesperson, Broker, and Appraiser Trainee Licenses requirements. Available for graduate credit in the Real Estate Certificate program.
