Course: CD 133. Survey of Communication Disorders (3)

Introduction to normal development and processes of human communication, as well as an introduction to various disorders of communication that occur when these processes are delayed or disrupted. Students will learn about the scopes of practice for speech-language pathologists and audiologists, as well as speech, language, and hearing scientists, all of whom investigate and provide clinical services to people across the lifespan who have disorders of speech, language, voice, swallowing, feeding, hearing, and balance.
