Prerequisites: COMP 380/L or equivalent; MATH 262 or equivalent; MATH 340 or MATH 341 or equivalent. A study of concepts, theories, and techniques of artificial intelligence. Focus is on complex problem-solving strategies for real world applications. Topics may include knowledge representation, logic and reasoning methods, state space search, heuristic search, game playing, question answering, symbol-based learning, reinforcement learning, evolutionary computing, probabilistic methods, introductory machine learning, and programming in AI environments.
