Program: Healthcare Data Management Certificate
Program Description
The Healthcare Data Management Certificate is an online program offering four key courses that provide a thorough grasp of healthcare data management and visualization. This certificate focuses on hands-on data management skills in healthcare and forms a modular pathway that can be combined with other certificates.
Program Requirements
A. Requirements for Admission to the Program
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements before enrollment. The department may make exceptions based on individual evaluations.
- Meet the basic university requirement for admission to graduate certificate programs.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related, IT, or data science field. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. No standardized test scores are required for this certificate program.
- Submit a one-page written statement outlining the applicant’s interest in healthcare analytics and career goals.
- Provide a current resume or curriculum vitae.
- One letter of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s aptitude for graduate-level study and the healthcare industry.
Note: Applicants not meeting all the requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, and must address the specific reasons for any requirement waivers in their personal statement.
