Course: MATH 327. Mathematical Problem Solving (3)
Prerequisite: MATH 150A. Corequisite: MATH 150B. A course in how to approach and solve mathematical problems. Basic strategies of problem solving: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out a plan, and reviewing the solution obtained. Problem solvers learn how to determine which areas of mathematics supply useful ideas for each problem and how to present logical, clear, and elegant solutions.
