Prerequisites: ME 370 and ME 390, or equivalent background. Introduction to rocket and spacecraft engineering. Space missions thrust and specific impulse requirements. Propellant thermodynamics and chemistry. Compressible gas dynamics. Analysis of liquid and solid propulsion systems. Combustion instabilities. Electric propulsion and other propulsion concepts.
