Course: ME 495/L. Applied Computational Fluid Dynamics and Lab (2/1)
Prerequisites: ME 309; ME 375. Corequisite: ME 495L. Introduction to numerical modeling of fluid flow and simulation of thermal-fluid systems. Discussing differential governing equations for thermal-fluid systems. Finite difference formulation of differential equations. Discretization, grid generation, boundary conditions, turbulence modeling, numerical setups, solution and post-processing techniques. Utilization of CFD software suite. 2 hours lecture, 3 hours lab per week.
