Course: PT 734/L. Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Practice Management and Lab (2/1)
Prerequisite: Classified graduate status in the DPT program. Corequisite: PT 734L. The purpose of this course is to addresses physical therapy examination, evaluation, and interventions of cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Indications and contraindications for interventions when examining and treating these individuals throughout the lifespan are thoroughly discussed. The course will focus on developing clinical skills including clinical reasoning to examine and treat individuals with or who are at risk for developing cardiovascular and/or pulmonary conditions. Lab: 3 hours per week.
