Course: RTM 301. Travel and Tourism (3)
Prerequisite: Completion of the lower division writing requirement. Overview of the travel and tourism industry. This course explains the various components of tourism, the tourism system, the tourist experience, sustainable tourism, analysis of key statistics and financial information, the relationship between tourism and subjective well-being or quality of life, and its significance. Furthermore, this course discusses the importance of responsible travel experience and the global perspectives of tourism. Meets the Lifelong Learning requirement. Available for General Education, Area 4 Social and Behavioral Sciences. (W.I.)
