Course: SED 525D. Methods of Teaching Dance (3)

Prerequisite: Restricted to candidates officially admitted to a CSUN teaching-credential program or already possessing a teaching credential. This methods course addresses strategies for planning instruction, using instructional technologies, building disciplinary literacy, assessing student performance, and implementing effective learning experiences for all dance students in grades K-12. Course emphasizes pedagogies that are inclusive and equitable for diverse student populations. Course activities focus on instruction of the California curriculum standards for dance, guided by the Visual and Performing Arts Framework for California Public Schools and California Arts Standards for Dance.
