The Associated Students Children’s Center provides early childhood education and care for the children of students formally admitted and currently enrolled at CSUN, as well as children of faculty/staff and, if available, the surrounding community. Priority is given to children of students. The Children’s Center has the capacity to care for 140 children (ages 18 months to 5 years) during the hours of 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Low-income students may qualify for California Department of Education subsidized (free or low cost) care at the Center or in our Family Child Care Home Education Network. The FCCHEN is a network of family child care homes near the campus that serve children age 3 months to 12 years. Most FCCHEN providers offer care days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Applications are available at the Children’s Center or on the website.
