UNIVERSITY CATALOG: 2016-2017

Catalog Requirements (Catalog Rights)

An undergraduate student remaining in attendance in regular sessions at any California Community College, at any CSU campus or any combination of California Community Colleges and campuses of the CSU system may meet the requirements in effect at the campus from which the student will graduate either (1) at the time the student began such attendance, (2) at the time of entrance to the campus or (3) at the time of graduation, except that substitutions for discontinued courses may be authorized or required by the proper CSUN authorities. This applies only to graduation requirements and not to procedures or other regulations. Students changing their major or any minor field of study and students changing from undeclared or undecided majors to declared majors should be aware that they may be required to complete the major or minor requirements in effect at the time of change, at the discretion of the departments or programs. They will be allowed, however, to continue with previously established non-major requirements, such as the General Education requirements. Attendance is defined for purposes of this regulation as at least one semester or two quarters in each calendar year. Attendance will not be considered interrupted by absence, not to exceed 2 years, related to an approved educational leave or for attendance at any accredited institution of higher learning.
