The Department of Police Services provides law enforcement services to the University community, and is open 24 hours a day/seven days a week. All reports of criminal activity, fire, injury or hazards should be reported to the department immediately. The department is staffed with sworn peace officers that have full police powers and are trained and equipped to handle emergencies on campus and all state laws, codes and regulations are enforced. In addition, the department is the answering point for the 911 system on campus. Dialing 911 or texting to 911 connects you to the police department, which will summon the appropriate aid to help you. The Department of Police Services provides many programs and services to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
