Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics—Administration
The post-baccalaureate certificate in Health Informatics provides an opportunity for those who have completed a bachelor’s degree in health administration, business administration, nursing or another discipline to acquire the skills and knowledge in a critical workforce shortage area of health informatics. The certificate is focused on the administrative issues and the skills and knowledge necessary to manage healthcare information technology. It is in collaboration with the Department of Systems and Operations Management in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics. There are a total of five graduate courses: three from the Health Administration program and two from the Department of Systems and Operations Management. The certificate can be taken concurrently within the MSHA for graduate students who declare this area of specialization. Upon successful completion of the MSHA, and the embedded certificate courses, a student will be awarded both on the transcript.
