UNIVERSITY CATALOG: 2019-2020

The Pride Center of the University Student Union supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and questioning students, faculty and staff through programming and educational outreach to improve the campus climate for LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as to advocate for the respect and safety of all members of the campus community.

Programs and Services

  • Generation Pride: Queer Orientation
  • LGBTQ from A to Z: Information sessions each semester
  • Tuesday Talks: Weekly discussion group, Tuesdays from 7 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
  • Beyond the Binary: For all non-binary sexualities
  • Dare to Be Powerful—QTPOC Week: Celebrating the diversity of LGBTQ+ community
  • LGBTQ Peer Mentor Online Chat: A safe place to talk online
  • Trans* Empowerment Week: Focused on what it means to be transgender
  • Sex Week at CSUN: Sex positivity and reduce the stigma of queer sexuality
  • Queer in Your Career: Connecting students with LGBTQ+ professionals
  • Rainbow Graduation Celebration: Honoring graduating LGBTQ+ members
  • And a variety of social and educational events throughout the year

The Pride Center of the University Student Union is located on the second floor of the Sol Center adjacent to the USU Student Art Collection gallery, on the balcony above the main stairway.

Hours of Operation

Fall and Spring

  • Monday–Thursday: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday: Closed

Summer and Winter
