Course: ELPS 686. Equity-Centered Assessment of Leadership Competencies (1-1-1-1)

Prerequisite: This course is restricted to candidates who have been admitted to the Induction-Clear Administrative Services Credential (I-CASC) program, have activated the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC); are currently employed in an administrative position; and need to clear the Administrative Services Credential. Corequisites: ELPS 685; ELPS 689. Assessment of candidate competence is on-going and grounded in the proficiencies expressed in Standard 5 of the California Administrative Services Credential Induction Program Standards, known as the California Professionals Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs). Assessment tools measure leadership performance and used to determine candidate growth and competence based on outcomes aligned to the California Professionals Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs). Results are reviewed by the candidate, coach, and university supervisor. The assessments serve as the foundation for the development of the equity driven Individualized Induction Leadership Plan (IILP), and for professional learning, resulting in 10-15 clock hours of professional development tailored to candidate needs, allowing flexibility in coursework selection aligned with the six CPSELs. This 1-unit semester course must be taken 4 times. (Credit/No Credit only)
