Course: SPED 578. Practicum in Early Intervention: Infant/Toddler (6)
Pre/Corequisite: SPED 538. Each Early Childhood Special Education candidate is assigned to a program providing early intervention services to infant/toddlers with disabilities and their families. This practicum of at least 100 hours includes working with the families, participating in the design and implementation of individualized plans and activities to support the children’s development in all areas, ongoing data collection and participation in team meetings and other professional activities as appropriate. Supervision is provided by the cooperating/master teacher and through on-site visits by the university supervisor.
